Welcome to the social-emotional learning (SEL) resource for parents and caregivers of children ages 3 to 10. We combine the power of storytelling with engaging mindful movement activities. Grounded in educational research, our approach supports children’s emotional and social development in a way that’s playful, meaningful, and easy to integrate into daily life.

How It Works?

Each month, our website spotlights a carefully chosen children’s picture book that opens the door to meaningful conversations about emotions, empathy, and self-awareness.

Parents and caregivers pair the picture books with Story Stretchers, guided questions tailored to their child’s social-emotional development, alongside engaging mindful movement activities.

Why It Works?

By pairing literature with movement, children gain both the language to describe emotions and the tools to manage them.
      Storytime:
  • Helps children label feelings
  • Strengthens problem solving skills
  • Teaches emotion regulation
  • Fosters empathy
  • Allow children to see themselves and their own experiences in the characters
      Mindful Movement:
  • Teaches body awareness and self-regulation skills
  • Activates the parasympathetic system to reduce stres
  • Strengthens executive functions like attention and impulse control
